Limited "xPRESSO" edition of Scion xD are here!

Scion has infused a new lease of life to xD hatchback with its xD release series 3.0.  This effort has been put in with the intention to keep its aging xD five-door subcompact  a little fresher. Toyota of Concord, a Hendrick Toyota car dealer in Concord NC, is pleased to announce that Scion has created the limited-edition xD release series 3.0 for the 2011 model year. It is believed that only 1,500 models of the RS 3.0 will be built.

The xD RS 3.0 comes fitted with a four-piece body kit including front and rear lower lips along with side skirts. The body kit adds assertive styling and is exclusive to the xD RS 3.0. The xD comes painted in a distinctive brown color appropriately named as xPRESSO. The new brown exterior paint isn't available on any other model in the Scion lineup, and the diminutive xD wears it quite well. Scion adds B-pillar appliqués finished in a carbon fiber material and the xD RS logo which are unique to this edition.

Due to the limited production, Scion has also added an individually numbered stainless steel badge that will tell which one of 1500 units you own!

The car is expected to hit the dealerships later this month.

One-of-a-kind Land Cruiser on display at Toyota of Concord

Toyota of Concord would like to showcase a shining example of the 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser, one of Toyota's longest-running model lines (as well as the inspiration for today's FJ Cruiser).  As if finding a classic in such pristine condition weren't special enough, this particular example happens to be from the personal collection of Country Music Superstar Alan Jackson.  It went up for auction in 2009 for $82,500.

Jackson's FJ45 Land Cruiser is an air conditioned, automatic transmission model with two-tone paint and a houndstooth interior.  It has been fortified with a 5.7-liter Chevy V8, delivering monster torque.  Credit for the masterful restoration of this Cruiser goes to TLC of Van Nuys, CA.

While this rareified Land Cruiser is not for sale, you can check it out anytime at Toyota of Concord, your best source for new and used Toyotas in North Carolina.
