Have You Considered “Going Green”?

With gas prices on the rise and talk of global warming and pollution becoming more prominent, many people are looking for more environmentally clean and fuel efficient vehicles. One such vehicle, the 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid, was recently named “Best Green Car” at the Atlanta International Auto Show, and is available now at Toyota Scion of Concord.
The Toyota Avalon, named "Best Green Car"

The Toyota Avalon, newly remodeled for 2013, is a stylish and luxurious sedan. The Hybrid version has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces less waste and improves fuel-efficiency to give it a combined 40-mpg. Capable of being powered by either the electric motor or gasoline engine alone, or both combined, the Prius is as fuel efficient as they come. Also, on the greener side of things, the Prius is certified as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle.

The Avalon and the Prius are not the only Hybrid vehicles by Toyota. There are eight in all, including the Pruis c, Prius, Camry Hybrid, Prius V, Prius Plug-in, Avalon Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, and the Rav4 EV. 2008 Highlander scores high on space and comfort!

The Toyota Highlander has been completely redesigned and re-engineered for 2008. The new version is bigger, roomier and more powerful.

The all-new Highlander is more passenger-friendly than all the seven early highlanders. The second row can slide forward and back, and the third-row seat changes to a space hospitable for children and capable of carrying adults. Getting in and out of the first two rows is easy. It provides both a walkthrough and a fold and slide forward second-row seat to ease access to the third row.

The base six-cylinder engine has been upgraded for 2008 Highlander. The standard 3.5-liter V6 is larger and buttery smooth. At 270 horsepower, it offers an increase of 55 horsepower over the old engine. The Highlander comes standard with front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive available for customers who want all-weather capability and improved safety. The Highlander Hybrid models offer better fuel economy, and extreme low emissions.
