Toyota Scion of Concord Offers Three Vehicles Named in ‘Best Cars for Your Money’

Buying a new car is a big investment, so wouldn’t you want to get the most out of your money when purchasing a new car? Toyota Scion of Concord makes it easy by offering three cars named by U.S. News & Report: Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, and the Scion FR-S.

In the study to find the best cars for the money in each class U.S. News & Report used a number of sources including critic reviews, J.D. Power and Associates reliability data, and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Institute for Highway Safety.
The 2013 Toyota Tacoma
In total there were 21 vehicle categories and only two for trucks, meaning that Toyota swept the truck categories with the Tacoma winning the compact pickup truck category, and the Tundra winning the category for full-size trucks. Both vehicles combine reliability and towing abilities, along with a number of options to customize your truck to fit your needs.

2013 Scion FR-S
The Scion FR-S won the category for sports cars. The FR-S, which is new for 2013, combines spectacular handling with a sporty exterior, making it a popular buy this year. The FR-S took the sports car category with exceptional handling and more interior comfort, practicality and safety ratings than most of its competitors.

Stop in today and take a look at these great values, as well as our full line of new and used Toyota and Scion’s. Our experienced sales staff would love to speak with you and show you the benefit of purchases a Toyota or Scion.

We look forward to hearing from you!

J.D. Powers and Associates Top Cars in Dependability Available at Toyota Scion of Concord

According to a recent study, consumers are now driving their cars longer than ever; nearly six years on average. This is a result of a number of things, including the stifling economy, the perception that newly redesigned cars are less reliable, as well as better warranties.

With consumers keeping their vehicles longer, it is more important than ever to purchase a vehicle that is reliable, and will not cost a fortune in repairs.

J.D. Powers and Associates named the Toyota Prius the
most dependable vehicle.
Toyota, known for its reliability, ranked as one of the highest companies on J.D. Power and Associates dependability list. The Prius, which is also known for its outstanding fuel-efficiency, ranked as the number one most dependable vehicle, and Toyota overall was well under the industry average for problems per one hundred cars.

2013 Toyota Avalon in Running for Best Car to Buy 2013

2013 Toyota Avalon

The Car Connection, a car review site whose contributors drive more than 300 cars so you don’t have to, has released their nominees for the Best Car to Buy 2013, and the Toyota Avalon is on the list.

To determine the Best Car to Buy 2013, The Car Connection narrowed the field to thirty eligible vehicles. Eligibility requirements included a base price of under $50,000, availability to be road tested before December 1, 2012, and ability to be purchased before April 30, 2013. Vehicles that meet those requirements are then given scores in areas of safety, performance, styling, features, comfort and utility, and a “green rating” that considers fuel economy.

According to The Car Connection, “the remaining cars, trucks, and crossovers include some of the best vehicles we’ve tested in our careers at High Gear Media, with some true historical milestones among them.” One of those elite vehicles is the 2013 Toyota Avalon.

The Car Connection review of the 2013 Avalon praised Toyota for allowing the Avalon to break out of its formerly conservative shell, with a flowing body design that strikes the perfect balance of relaxed but a little sporty. The car is actually smaller than previous models, but reviewers found the interior to have a more spacious feel, with quality materials, comfortable seating, modern instrument technology, and overall attention to detail.

Reviewers were most impressed with the performance of the new Toyota Avalon. The V6 model sets a high standard, becoming “quicker and more responsive in every way” than older models. However, most notable is the Avalon Hybrid, whose performance rivals that of the V6 Avalon, with slightly slower acceleration, but with a “level of refinement that might even fool some traditional Avalon shoppers.”

The Car Connection scored the 2013 Toyota Avalon as follows (all scores out of 10): Interior/Exterior – 8, Performance – 8, Quality – 9, Safety – 9, Features – 8, Fuel Economy – 9.

Final winners of The Car Connection’s Best Car to Buy 2013 will be announced on December 10, but you don’t have to wait. You can test drive a 2012 Toyota Avalon, and many other new Toyota cars, today at Toyota ofConcord near Charlotte. We can help you decide for yourself which Toyota is the best car for you to drive in 2013!

Graduate and Get Money Back on Selected Toyota and Scion Models

Toyota Scion of Concord is happy to announce that Toyota Financial Services and Toyota Motor sales have added the Prius c to the list of eligible vehicles in the College Grad Rebate Program.

The Prius c is the first hybrid option available in the program, which seeks to reward the hard work of recent college graduates and make the transition to the workforce smoother by offering $1000 new car rebates on any new Scion and select new Toyota models. Before the addition of the Prius c, eligible Toyotas included the Camry, Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Tacoma, and Yaris.

According to Mike Groff, TFS Group Vice President of Sales, Product and Marketing, “The Prius c is taking off as one of the most popular vehicles among young adults, but more than that, it is a dependable and economical way for recent graduates to get to new jobs and start their careers. We hope this $1,000 rebate, which can be coupled with other incentives, helps make the dream of car ownership a little easier.”

The Toyota Prius family was recently named “Best Green Car to Buy 2012” by GreenCarReports.com. The letter “c” in the Prius c name stands for “city”, as it was developed to be an urban-friendly car. With its accessible price, fuel economy rating of 53 city mpg, and plentiful electronic features, the Prius c is the ideal car for the recent college grad.

To qualify for the $1000 rebate, buyers must meet certain degree and graduation requirements. These include, but are not limited to, graduating from a qualified institution (four-year college, university, registered nursing program, accredited graduate degree program, Toyota Technical Education Network, or approved automotive or electrical program) within the last two years, or in some cases, on track to graduate within the next six months.

Buyers will also show proof of present employment or a contract for future employment to begin within 120 days of purchase contract. Toyota Financial Services will determine sufficient income and credit history and will approve qualified applicants.

The College Rebate Program for Toyota vehicles ends January 2, 2013. The finance department at Toyota Scion of Concord near Charlotte will be happy to answer any questions about the program, and our expert sales staff will help you schedule a test drive of the Toyota Prius c or any other model that better suits your needs.
